34 modular homes – a new accommodation zone at a holiday park in Germany

Forests, heathland and lakes surround the holiday park in north-western Germany, which was expanded with 34 modular homes. The aim was to broaden the accommodation offer for different guest groups while maintaining a consistent architectural character throughout the new zone.

This is one of the projects delivered by TLC Unit, whose experience forms the foundation of ONSO. The project brings together principles central to our brand: approaching the holiday destination as a whole, adapting homes to guest needs and delivering fully finished, ready-to-live modular homes.

  • The objective: varied accommodation within one coherent concept

Expanding the existing holiday park required a repeatable solution that could be delivered across several dozen homes while accommodating different guest capacities. The new accommodation zone needed to maintain a coherent architectural character while offering more than one configuration. Two complementary configurations provided accommodation for four and six guests. This allowed the park to cater for different group sizes while maintaining a consistent architectural character throughout the development.

  • From concept support to the production of 34 homes

TLC Unit’s scope included concept support, manufacturing, delivery and on-site assembly. This combined the development of the modular accommodation concept with the production and delivery of all the homes. The two configurations formed the basis for the production of 34 modular homes. The repeatable modular concept maintained a coherent architectural character, while the four- and six-guest configurations created a varied accommodation offer.

  • Fully finished, ready-to-live homes – including delivery and positioning

The homes were fully finished at the factory and delivered ready to live in. This meant the investor did not need to arrange a separate phase of interior finishing works at the holiday park. The scope also included transport and positioning of the completed homes in their designated locations. From concept support through manufacturing and finishing to delivery, the investor worked with a single contractor, reducing the number of teams and the extent of work requiring on-site coordination.

The result: a new zone with two accommodation configurations

The development of 34 modular homes expanded the park’s accommodation offer with configurations for four or six guests. Both configurations form an architecturally coherent zone that fits into its green surroundings. Natural planting separates neighbouring homes, giving guests a sense of privacy while preserving the open, park-like layout.

Each home features a spacious, integrated covered terrace, providing additional space to relax outdoors. Horizontal panels along the side of the terrace provide shade and greater privacy. Large areas of glazing bring natural light into the interiors and offer views of the greenery, connecting the indoor space with the terrace and the surrounding park landscape.
